Mr. Nixon joined Cerberus in 2014. He currently serves as a Managing Director and Deputy General Counsel of Cerberus Operations and Advisory Company, LLC.  In this role, he works with various portfolio company executive leadership teams and boards of directors to improve operational performance and execute turnarounds.

Prior to joining Cerberus Operations and Advisory Company, LLC, Mr. Nixon served as a member of the Advisory Board of Cerberus Operations and Advisory Company, LLC beginning in 2013. Mr. Nixon is currently seconded to DynCorp International, Inc., as Chief Administrative Officer.  He also serves as a director on the BlueLinx Holdings Inc. Board of Directors.  Prior to joining Cerberus, from 2013 to 2014, Mr. Nixon served as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of CH2MHill Inc., a public Fortune 500 engineering, technology and design firm, where he was responsible for overseeing a global team of legal, risk management, compliance, intellectual property, contracts and operational professionals.  Prior to joining CH2MHill, from 2009 to 2013, Mr. Nixon served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of DynCorp International Inc., a multi-billion dollar global aviation, supply chain, and logistics company, where he led, managed and directed all global legal affairs for the corporation  including mergers and acquisitions, corporate debt restructuring and corporate governance.

Before joining DynCorp International Inc., Mr. Nixon was a Vice President at McKinsey & Company, Inc., from 2007 to 2009, where he provided operational, legal and strategic business advice.

Prior to joining McKinsey & Company Inc., Mr. Nixon was a Principal at Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc., from 2002 to 2007, where he provided operational, legal and strategic business advice.  Before joining Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., from 1999 to 2002, Mr. Nixon was in the U.S. intelligence community as a special counsel.  Mr. Nixon practiced law at the international law firm of Howrey LLP, from 1997 to 1999, where his practice focused on complex litigation, antitrust, and intellectual property matters.  Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Nixon worked with Congress as a financial fraud investigator and auditor for the Government Accountability Office, from 1991 to 1997, where he advised congressional committees and members on corporate and government fraud, waste, and abuse investigations.

He is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve.  Mr. Nixon is a graduate of Tuskegee University and received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
