Shea, chair of the University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents, today announced the appointment of Javier Miyares as president of University of Maryland University College (UMUC). University of Maryland University College (UMUC) will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 26, in celebration of its new location — UMUC at Quantico. On hand to cut the ribbon and offer remarks will be Javier Miyares, UMUC acting president.
