Networking opportunity to feature expert panel of alumni who will talk about starting a new business

Adelphi, Md. (April 14, 2014) — The University of Maryland University College (UMUC) Alumni Association is hosting a panel of experts who will discuss the nuts and bolts of being an entrepreneur.

The panel discussion, entitled Identity. Market. Finance. Small Business from Concept to Success, will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, at UMUC Dorsey Station (Room 2136 & 2138), 6865 Deerpath, Rd, Elkridge, MD.

Moderator:

Ben Litalien, DM, ('12), founder and principal of FranchiseWell, LLC, a consulting practice dedicated to the improvement and enhancement of franchising.

Panelists:

Greg Buckler, MBA ('12) and MSM ('13), vice president of membership at the Maryland Chamber of Commerce.

Wanda King ('94), president of the Center for Professional Training and Development.

Sunil Kolhekar, MS/CSM ('90/'11), cofounder, president and CEO of Creative Information Technology, Inc.

Joey Price, MS ('11), chief executive of Jumpstart: HR, author of "Never Miss the Mark," a book on career management.

Nancy Slomowitz, ('98), president and CEO of Executive Management Associates, Inc., and author of "Work Zone Madness! Surviving and Rising Above Workplace Dysfunction."
